Karen Andrews is a native of Utah and has been painting the Utah, New Mexico, and, most recently, New York state landscapes for a number of years. She first began studying oil painting with Don Sheperd in 1969. Although Karen is primarily self-taught, she has also studied with Ed Maryon and Harrison Groutage.
Karen has exhibited in many group shows including Springville; the Salt Lake Art Center; and Art-Barn-Images of the City. She was a prize winner in the Utah Images 2000 and Utah Art's Council's State Show where she received the purchase award, and honorable mention and was selected for a number traveling exhibitions. Karen also had a One Woman Show in 1985 at Syvester's Art Gallery.
Karen's paintings have been reproduced in the Salt Lake Tribune and in Utah Holiday magazine. She is also listed in the Dictionary of Utah Art and has a biography in Artist's of Utah.
Karen's works are in many private collections and in the Utah State Collection.
