In 1992, Salt Lake Community College opened its South City Campus. Today the three-level complex serves more than 6,000 college students in nearly 100 classrooms, labs and student facilities. Many of the College’s humanities programs are housed at the site.

South City Campus is committed to the performing arts. It is the home of theGrand Theatre - providing a rich blend of compelling theater performances each season, as well as outreach programming designed to welcome, educate, inspire, and entertain our community.

The South City Campus is the site of the Center for Arts and Media. The Center will accommodate the College's visual and performing arts programs and new media technologies.

The campus is housed inside the former South High School and hosts the South High Alumni Association.
