Andrew Abramov (1963 - )
Andrew was born in Moscow, in 1963. He graduated from Moscow High Art and Industrial Institute (former Stroganovskoe) as a restorer of decorative art (Russian icons and frescos). For a number of years he worked as a restorer for the Russian State museums. His specialty was XVII century icons and frescoes.
Andrew started his exhibition activity in 1989 in Moscow. Among most prestigious exhibitions he participated while living in Russia were Annual Exhibitions of The Russian Art Union and annual “Gold Brush” exhibition. In 1996 he immigrated in the U.S., His paintings were presented at the art shows in Kent, CT, Brooklyn, NY, and at the two latest personal - in Shreveport, LA.
For many years he was experimenting with different techniques and mediums, creating contemporary realism painting. In 2015, he is concentrating more on egg tempera technique.
