Day Emil Christensen is a sculptor and mixed media artist. He graduated from BYU with a BA in Art and Design in 1974 and a Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design. In 2008, Christensen was awarded a grant from the Utah Arts Council as part of the Individual Artists Services Grants program. Over the past 30 years, Day Christensen has worked on a variety of public art projects for libraries, light rail stations, airports, state capitol buildings, recreation centers, medical facilities, and public parks. These projects include suspended sculptures, formed glass, murals, paving designs, light sculpture, earthworks, and fabricated and cast bronze sculpture.
